ChargeMate Named to TechCrunch Startup Battlefield 200 at Disrupt 2026

Brian Lange
Co-Founder and CTO

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 6, 2026 — ChargeMate, an AI startup automating operations for EV charging networks and energy infrastructure, has been selected for Startup Battlefield 200 at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026. It was chosen from thousands of applicants to exhibit and pitch in front of investors and TechCrunch editors.
ChargeMate's AI handles driver support, charger monitoring and network operations. The company has signed contracts with nine charging networks, including Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging, Electric Era, Voltera and Greenspot. Its agents resolve more than 90% of customer support issues on public charging networks without a human. At Mercedes-Benz HPC, ChargeMate cut call volume by 48% and raised the share of driver visits that end in a successful charge by 5.5 percentage points.
“At my last company, our dashboards reported 95% uptime while only 70 to 85% of driver attempts actually ended in a successful charge,” said Brad Crist, CEO and co-founder of ChargeMate. “As AI data centers push electricity demand higher, more power is moving to the edge: chargers, batteries, and solar on unmanned sites, stitched together from fragmented hardware, software, and service providers. ChargeMate connects those systems and automates support and diagnostics so what operators report matches what customers actually experience.”
ChargeMate is competing in the sustainability category. Crist pitches on the Showcase Stage on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 1:30 p.m. PT, and the team will be at Booth CE11.
TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 runs Oct. 13–15 at Moscone West in San Francisco. Past Disrupt launches include Dropbox, Mint, Cloudflare and Fitbit. More information: https://techcrunch.com/events/techcrunch-disrupt/. Disrupt passes are 20% off at https://bit.ly/4bfOmvt.
